2025 Community Survey Summary of Findings Reports

We are sharing the 2025 County of San Diego Community Survey Findings Reports from the most recent countywide community survey conducted between July 7 and August 8, 2025.

Purpose of the Community Survey
The San Diego County Prevention System uses the Community Survey to:

  1.  Gather input from adult residents across all six HHSA regions
  2.  Better understand community perspectives on alcohol and other drug use, stigma, service access, and prevention priorities
  3.  Inform prevention strategies, community engagement, and public-facing campaigns

The 2025 survey summarizes responses from a non-random sample of 2,340 San Diego County residents ages 18 and older. The survey was conducted by the Center for Community Research (CCR) in partnership with the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), Behavioral Health Services.

A few important notes for interpretation:

  1.  This year’s survey reflects a new data collection approach and updated survey content.
  2.  Findings are specific to 2025 and are not directly comparable to results from prior survey administrations.
  3.  Results should be viewed as a snapshot of community perceptions related to substance use prevention, treatment, harm reduction, stigma, and overall community well-being.
