SDTMA By-Law Amendment - vote needed

I apologize for the short notice, but we also needed to vote on the proposed by-law amendment prior to this week's meeting.  President Michael Garcia sent out an email earlier (10/13/2022) that discussed the proposed change, his upcoming resignation as well as the need to vote for new board members.

I have encapsulated the proposed by-law amendment from his previous email below:


  *   Bylaw Amendment - Earlier in the year, Webmaster Todd Murphy motioned to amend the bylaws of the association to waive the annual dues for qualifying member organizations who's duly appointed representative is nominated and elected to the Board of Directors. A proposed amendment to the bylaws requires 30 days advance notice to members and requires two-thirds vote of Regular and Associate members to pass. The intended impact of this amendment is to provide an incentive for representatives of member organizations to volunteer to fulfill the role of board members. The fiscal impact will be a reduction of revenue between $250-$300 annually.

I have attached a ballot for your Yes or No vote.  Please return to me no later than this Wednesday, November 15th, so that we can announce whether the amendment passed or not at the meeting on Thursday.
