SDTMA Southwestern College: Police Recruit Workshop Wed. 9/4/2019 @ 5:30pm

Hello SD Training Managers,

At todays meeting I handed out flyers for the Southwestern College Police Academy three (3)-hour Police Recruit Workshop, on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. The workshop is free to the public, specifically those individuals who are interested in a career in law enforcement.

We are asking that law enforcement agencies send one (1) recruiter from their backgrounds/recruitment unit, to give a (3-minute presentation).  Agency recruiters will present at 6:00pm and are welcomed to stay through the end of the workshop for a Q&A with workshop attendees.

Participating Agencies, will be able to setup a table/chairs indoors (provided by the Police Academy).  You will be presenting to a group of up to 80 people in a large conference setting.

Event Timelines:
*         Arrival time for table/booth setup:                     4:15pm
*         Attendees arrive check in at:                               4:30pm to 5:15pm
*         Workshop starts at:                                             5:30pm
*         5-minute agency presentations begin:                6:00pm to 6:45pm
*         Workshop Ends:                                                   8:30pm
