SDTMA Background Investigator Position Info

I am tasked with surveying other departments to see what the pay scale is for their Police Background Investigators.  If you could answer the following questions, or forward this to the appropriate person within your department, that would be great.  Or, if the info is available on your City's website, please let me know.

I'm looking for the following info:

Are they:  Part-time, full-time, or contract employees?
Do they get paid by the hour, or for completion of each background?
How much do they get paid?  Any benefits?
