Melody, June 24, 2024

I am sending information to your department regarding the upcoming P.O.S.T. Basic Public Safety Emergency Dispatch Operator course that Grossmont College is offering this Fall 2024 semester. Below is the detailed information on the application and enrollment process for the AOJ 158 Emergency Basic Dispatch Operator course beginning August 19th.

I recently received notification from Stephen Crawford of the California P.O.S.T. Basic Training Bureau advising that the Basic Dispatch course is going to be extended from 120 hours to 160 hours possibly sometime around October 2024. Currently, this course is approved to deliver the 120-hour program with P.O.S.T. approval for certification for one more semester; however, due to the change by P.O.S.T., we will be required to change our course to offer the 160-hours.

Below I have listed course location, dates, times, cost, admission and registration information into the AOJ 158 Public Safety Dispatch course here at Grossmont College if anyone is interested or needs to attend from your agency. Please let me know if you have any questions.
