FYI, just a reminder that the Scenario Evaluator Training Course scheduled for November 6 was cancelled on October 3, because the Commission on POST made changes to the curriculum and the changes take affect in December 2023, which means we cannot run the course this year.  We will be scheduling in possibly February 2024.

Please inform those that had planned on signing up for the course.

My apologizes I was just informed that the Commission on POST will be making modifications to the 4-hour scenario course curriculum; because of this modification we will need to wait and will not be able to run the November 6, 2023 course until  the modification has been completed.

As soon as we have a new date we will get the information out to you to register.

Hello SDTMA,

The Southwestern College Basic Police Academy is presenting a POST (4-hour) Scenario Evaluator Training Course.

Date: Monday, November 6, 2023, from 5pm to 9pm - (Non-Reimbursement: No Cost - POST Certified Course)

This 4-hour course will provide practical training on how to use the Basic Course Scenario Evaluation tool.  The curriculum includes an explanation of competency-based evaluations and will provide the tools to teach and certify officers as scenario evaluators.
