Please take a minute to review the last meeting’s minutes (November 18, 2021) so that we can approve them next week (let me know if you see anything that needs changing/updating).

Subject: January Meeting?

Dear SDTMA Members,

Happy New Year one and all. I am excited for the training possibilities in 2022, since we have missed so much over the past 24 months. I appreciate all of the recent emails sharing the latest offerings. As you know, we are scheduled to have our first meeting on January 20th, but I am concerned this may not be the best idea under the current circumstances.

Sadly, I am considering cancelling our first in-person meeting due to the recent spike in COVID cases plaguing our county. Agencies and organizations around the county are reinstituting precautionary measures to reduce spread. I have consulted with the new board members who are also experiencing some restrictions on in-person meetings and trainings.

While I am sad that this would be my first official act as your new President, I feel it may be a necessary precaution at this time. However, I could be persuaded to have our meeting virtually if there is enough interest from the group. What say you?

Please reply to me with your desire to either:


  1.  Meet virtually on January 20, 2022
  2.  Cancel and meet in-person in March

Please reply no later than Friday January 14, 2022, so we notify every one of the decision. Thank you for your time and support.
