SDTMA Registration Now Open-- Free POST Certified Hate Crimes Training for Local Law Enforcement

The U.S. Attorney's Office would like to invite you and your agency's officers to attend a free POST- Certified webinar on understanding and effectively handling hate crimes.  Our community has witnessed a disturbing increase in hate crimes motivated by race, national origin, religion and gender identity. To assist local law enforcement in responding to this growing problem, the U.S. Attorney's Office, the FBI San Diego Field Office, and the San Diego County District Attorney are presenting a POST-certified webinar for local law enforcement.  The session will feature an update on hate groups in Southern California, a primer on state and federal hate crime laws, and an overview of best investigation/documentation practices.  The program, which is POST-certified for a maximum of 50 officers, will be filled on a first come, first served basis.  Please see the flyer below for the registration link.
