The Commission on POST is convening a group of subject matter experts (SMEs) familiar with the content, delivery, and needs of the Field Training Courses. The goal of this project is to update the videos that support the Field Training Courses, as well as the videos that support the proper use and documentation of the POST approved scoring rubrics (Numeric/NICS). Please forward this email to your instructors and other agency personnel whom you may consider appropriate for this project. These video segments will be developed by SMEs during the months listed below.

We have three meetings scheduled for this project:

  *   Meeting #1:  June 7th-9th, 8-5 each day (Development meeting)
  *   Meeting #2:  August 1st-4th, start time 1300 on day one, then varied based on production schedule
  *   Meeting #3:  Sept 27th-29th, start time 1300 on day one then 0800-5:00; review of products and edit recommendations

     *   Mtg. #3 is tentatively scheduled - to be held if necessary

Due to the limited committee seats, POST will make final selections by April 22nd, and notify all applicants as to their status. Please understand that we regularly receive a lot of qualified applicants, the efficient use of available resources does limit our ability to invite everyone. Those who are selected to become members of this committee will be reimbursed for travel-related expenses for the workshops (i.e., hotel, air, ground travel, and meals).

The deadline to apply is April 15th, 2022.
