Daniel: Joe De Ladurantey here from The Vollmer Institute. Attached you will find a training needs assessment that I completed from various agencies in So Cal. Obviously not all responded but I think you will get a picture of the need for training in both areas. While the inside joke has always been that POST will never touch polygraph, K-9 or helicopters, I hope you will consider the information provided. I believe that if I continued with the survey we would see the same patterns for training needs throughout the state. Please let me know if you have any questions and where we go from here. JD
