SDTMA Fall Training Class

SDTMA,
 Members, we have settled on a date for our Fall training class.  It will tentatively be October 17th.  We are looking at having Gordon Graham speak.  His fee is normally $6K for this type of class but he is giving us a rate of $4500.  At the next meeting we will vote to approve this and to discuss the content of the class and the topics we want him to speak on.  Here are some ideas we came up with.  Please plan to discuss this and bring up any other ideas you feel would be good topics for the one-day class.  If you can't make the meeting next Thursday, you can email me your ideas.

Topic Ideas offered by Gordon Graham:
The Ten Families of Risk (1 to 3 hours)
5 Current Themes for Success (2 hours)
Background Investigations (2 hours)
Supervision 101 - The basics for the new supervisor (2 hours)
The Top Ten Things that get Cops in Trouble (2 hours)

We will also be discussing locations so if you know of a venue that can hold 200 or so people and is either free or affordable, please bring the info.
