SDTMA FW: Regional Communications System (RCS) Next Generation System Transition - Information Sessions available

As you may be aware, the Regional Communications System (RCS) will be transitioning to a new Next Generation (NextGen) platform, starting in the Fall of 2019.



To assist RCS users to prepare for this transition, we are providing NO COST Informational Sessions to ALL RCS agencies and their users.  These Sessions are approximately 45 minutes each and will start with a quick overview from Motorola, followed by radio hands-on, and end with Q&A.

The Sessions will provide answers to questions such as:





·         How will my agency be migrated from the current RCS to the NextGen RCS network?

·         Why does my radio display a talkgroup prefaced with an Asterisk (*), and shows "Out of Range"?

·         Will my radio work on both Systems and how will I know when to move over to the NextGen System?
