SDTMA REMINDER: Southwestern College: Police Recruit Workshop Wed. 9/4/2019 @ 5:30pm

The Southwestern College Police Academy is scheduled to run a three (3)-hour Police Recruit Workshop, on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. The workshop is free to the public, specifically those individuals who are interested in a career in law enforcement.

Participating Agencies, will be able to setup recruitment materials at a table indoors provided by the Police Academy.

We are asking that law enforcement agencies who send recruiters from their backgrounds/recruitment unit, please give a (3-minute presentation).  Agency recruiters will present at 6:00pm and are welcomed to stay through the end of the workshop for a Q&A with workshop attendees. You will be presenting to a group of up to 80 people in a large conference setting.

As of today we have the following agencies signed up to attend:


  1.  Chula Vista Police Department
  2.  San Diego Police Department
  3.  San Diego State University
  4.  San Diego Unified School Dist. Police Dept.

*         Arrival time for table/booth setup:         4:15pm
*         Attendees arrive check in at:                   4:30pm to 5:15pm

*         5-minute agency presentations begin:    6:00pm to 6:45pm
*         Workshop Ends:                                       8:30pm
