SDTMA Operation PIPELINE & Operation JETWAY Training

The DEA San Diego Field Division will be hosting the following EPIC training in 2017:



Operation JETWAY - February 27th & 28th 8am-5pm and March 1st 8am-12pm


This is the basic course of instruction that covers the fundamental principles of methods and techniques involved in criminal interdiction for transportation interdiction officers. Topics covered: Interdiction at commercial and small airports, bus and train stations, hotels and motels, and at parcel facilities. Instruction also covers airport ramp check and indicators, K9 utilization in interdiction, Law - Search and Seizure, Asset Forfeiture and an introduction to the El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC) Operations and Access.



Operation PIPELINE - March 1st 1pm-5pm, March 2nd & 3rd 8am-5pm

This is the basic course of instruction for uniformed patrol officers, detectives, agents or investigators, covering the fundamental principles of criminal roadway interdiction of passenger and commercial motor vehicles. Topics covered: Passenger and Commercial Motor Vehicle Interdiction, Hidden Compartments, Officer Safety; Law - Search and Seizure; Intelligence Trends and Traffic; El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC) Operations and Access.



The classes are FREE and will be held at the DEA building, 4560 Viewridge Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123
