Hi all,
Sorry I missed the meeting last week, but the good news is I am finally done with SLI and will no longer be out of town every month when the SDTMA meetings are held!
I just wanted to give you all an update on the POST approval for our 8-hour "CRT" course, which will address your need to have your FTO's trained pursuant to SB 29:
My ECO and supporting documents were submitted to POST in MAY.
I corresponded back and forth with Val between May and July, regarding the documents, the Training Needs Assessment, and some other questions. All of that was addressed and resolved (I thought) at the end of June.
On August 24, I received a request from Val to resend her a copy of the ECO, so that she could send it to the POST Mental Health Program consultant (which you all know is Janna Munk). I immediately resent Val the ECO (which I already had Janna review and which I developed with Janna). I asked Val to let me know if she needed anything else and asked if I needed to resubmit any of my documents to POST via EDI. I never received a response from Val.
On September 2, I emailed Val and asked her again if I needed to resubmit anything to POST in EDI. I got no response.
This week, I emailed Val again, asking her to 1) confirm that she received my ECO on August 24, and 2) confirm that she received my email from September 2 and asking if I needed to resubmit anything in EDI. I also reminded her that the Program Consultant (Janna Munk) had already reviewed my ECO and I had worked with Janna in developing that ECO.
If I do not have a response from Val by Thursday, I'm not sure how to proceed, but I'm open to suggestions. If anyone has any recommendations or would like to discuss this with me, PLEASE call me. I would welcome any ideas and input. This lack of response from Val is, as it evidently has been for some time, completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
