Cal-ORCA Members,

The first annual California Organized Retail Crimes Association (Cal-ORCA) conference is just days away!  This is a reminder that the conference will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at the Pasadena Convention Center located at 300 E. Green Street, Pasadena, California 91101.  The theme of this conference is "Renewing the Partnership."

Some of the conference topics include the Office of Assembly Member Tom Lackey who partnered with Assembly Member Scott Wilk to introduce Assembly Bill 2287 in an effort to close the Proposition 47 loophole.  Ms. Michele Stuart, JAG Investigations, will be presenting Open Source Intelligence to assist retail, security and law enforcement personnel identify and locate suspects.  Other topics include Cargo Theft, Financial Aspect of ORC, Evolution of Threat and Private Security, Cybercrime and Law Enforcement Combating ORC.

The Cal-ORCA Conference Host Hotel is The Westin Pasadena located at 191 N. Los Robles Avenue, Pasadena, California 91101.  The cost of the hotel room is $179.00 not including tax and subject to availability.  Reservations may be made by calling (866) 837-4181 and referencing the Cal-ORCA conference.  The deadline for this special rate is September 9th at 5:00 PM PST.
