All,
Please see below message and attachment on behalf of Chief Lamine Secka.
Thanks,
Dear Training Managers -
As you may know, I recently launched a side project called L.E.A.P.S.
Training, which has the goal of providing high-quality, specialty training
to the law enforcement and public safety fields. I’d like to ask for your
support in getting the word out to your employees, students, groups and
associates.
Over the course of the past 12 years, I have developed a training
curriculum in Law Enforcement And Public Safety (L.E.A.P.S.) to help
associates in a variety of situations. These seminars cover a range of
topics, ranging from work and school safety to personnel management to
interview preparation, all within the law enforcement and public safety
sector. For more on the curriculum, visit our website at
http://www.leaps.training
The next seminar that L.E.A.P.S. will offer is titled "Law Enforcement
Interview Preparation". This is an excellent opportunity for your
employees, students, groups and associates to gain confidence, sharpen
interview skills and become a more competitive candidate in preparation of
their next promotional interview!
I have spent a significant amount of time interviewing applicants for all
types of law enforcement jobs, both sworn and civilian and have been
involved in hundreds of selection processes. While many of the applicants
I have interviewed have been successful, far more have not and it's
primarily because they failed to properly prepare for the interview.
This course will cover resume review, interview basics, personal history
statements, terms, lingo and catch phrases, and discuss answering scenario
questions and asking intelligent questions during the interview. The
registration link can be found at http://www.leaps.training/#!calendar/c1231
Our courses have already garnered praise from past attendees and academic
institutions:
-
"Excellent course. Very useful to receive instruction from accomplished,
credible and experienced instructor. Covered interview structures I have
personally experienced in federal law enforcement interview.
-
"Instructor Secka was professional, open to questions throughout the
entire presentation; an overall enjoyable course experience."
-
"I had three interviews (2 in-person, 1 phone) within two weeks for
federal agencies and passed all three, thanks to the interview prep course!"
-
"The class was helpful in providing a new perspective about what an
interview is: not an interrogation, rather being there to make a statement.
It definitely helped me prepare for an interview I had the following week."
Attached is a PDF, which we encourage you to forward to your email database
and print/post in public places in your area - and please let me know if
you do! Additionally, if you have any opportunities where LEAPS Training
can use digital advertising - or any other opportunities, please let us
know!
