Hi All,

My apologies for any confusion, but the IDI/AICC program is in a transition phrase and so there are few kinks everyone is still working out.

SDRTC is offering AICC classes, however, we are contracted by POST to offer them outside of San Diego County in areas where there is not currently a program already set up that regularly offers the course. For example, we already put on one class this fiscal year, but it was in Ontario. Our next class will be in Pittsburg, CA. We are considered their traveling program for areas that do not have an academy set up to offer the course.

Miramar College is the San Diego County location for a local AICC. They are still waiting on their contract from POST, which  has resulted in a delay in the course being offered this fall. However, they do anticipate a contract in place in time to run the 2015 schedule.

Here are the dates for their 2015 AICC courses:
2/16/1 - 2/20/15
3/30/1 - 4/3/15
6/15/15 - 6/19/15

My understanding is that in order to register, people need to contact Don Robbins, the coordinator for the course. His phone is (760) 546-8207 and his email is drobbins at sddcd.edu<mailto:drobbins at sddcd.edu> . I was not able to locate a registration system set up online at this time.

If people are interested in going beyond Level 1 (AICC) of the IDI program, then all classes are through SDRTC. You can find those at www.sdrtc.com<http://www.sdrtc.com>

La Mesa PD was recently inquiring about AICC classes.  When we reached out to the academy they (somebody-not sure who) told us that they are no longer offering these courses but instead SDRTC was doing it.  We called SDRTC (again not sure who we spoke to) and they told us, they don't offer that class in SD because the academy does it..................any ideas???
