The team at Escondido PD is working on several training opportunities to enhance MFF skills/assets.   We currently have two classes set, and one in the planning stages based on projected interest.  Please take a look at the classes for some desirable training to be held locally at different cost levels.

Scheduled:

*         Less Lethal Instructor - 2 day, POST certified, presented by National Training Concepts, $250 + 30 rounds LTL, Sept 16-17

*         Training goal - Develop students as agency instructors in the use of less lethal munitions and launchers
(primarily focused on 37/40mm and Bean Bag)

*         MFF Grenadier - 2 day, presented by Combined Tactical Systems, $350 includes munitions, Dec 9-10

*         Training goal -Assessing the crowd, MFF formations, launching from formations, deploying munitions by hand/launchers
(primarily focused on launched and hand delivered munitions)

Interest needed!

*         Field Force Extrication Tactics - 3 day, Presented by FEMA-CDP, FREE!

*         Training goal - Knowledge and skills regarding the tools and techniques to extricate an individual safely from a protester device

FEMA is willing to provide this free training in our area rather than sending you to Alabama for it.  We need to get a rough estimate of attendees to get this class scheduled. For information on the class:  https://cdp.dhs.gov/training/courses/ffe
