The Rampart Scandal was one of the most damaging incidents the LAPD has ever experienced and the lessons to be learned from this type of event are invaluable.  The Rampart Dialogue course is taught by the Captain who was the Commanding Officer of the LAPD Rampart Division and CRASH Unit during the intense and tumultuous three years when the problems occurred from 1995 to 1998.  The instructor will present a candid, no holds barred, personal account of the leadership issues which he continually faced during and years after the incident.

This course will also dive right into the LAPD Culture which existed at the time and will examine the incremental steps and specific Case Studies of arrest, shootings and incidents that led to the corruption, downfall and narcotics arrest of Rafael Perez.  This course will address the aftermath, its toll, and Consequences in terms of careers, reputations, family impact and most importantly, a discussion on the Leadership insights and lessons learned to impact, deter and deal with potential corruption.

The course is 4 hours in length and will be presented twice on two different dates, Thursday, April 11, 2013 and Thursday, April 18, 2013, please refer to the attached training flyers for actual presentation times, registration and instructor bio.  These courses usually fill-up quickly, so please register early!
