Subject: ACADEMY INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION COURSE IN SEPTEMBER 2013

The San Diego Sheriff's In-Service Unit is offering a 40-hour P.O.S.T. certified ACADEMY INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION COURSE on September 3-5/11-12, 2013.  It will be held at Miramar College from 0800-1700 hrs with one hour lunch.  Attached please find a course flyer.  Please read it in its entirety.  It contains some very valuable information pertinent to the course.

Prospective academy instructors must route their request for attendance through their prospective CORE Instructor.  SDSD in-service instructors must route their request through Sgt. Chris Steffen, the in-service training unit sergeant.

For SDPD personnel:  Please route your training request through Gloria Shick of your In-Service Unit.

For agencies other than the San Diego Police Department:  Please make sure that requests from your officers are generated by you, the Agency Training Coordinator.

Requests from individual deputies/officers will not be entertained/accommodated.  No exemptions.
