Hello all-
Please see below, and send responses to amber.craig at dhs.gov
Thanks much!
Howard
Greetings,
My name is Amber Craig and I am the supervisory agent overseeing the
Border Patrol's Recruiting and Hiring program in the San Diego region.
I've been asked to assist our Office of Human Resources Management (HRM)
with a project related to hiring and retention of females, an issue with
which we have (like most agencies) experienced limited historical
success. If I may trouble you for a moment of your valuable time,
please answer the questions below.
* Name of Agency/Department:
* Total department personnel:
* Total female department personnel:
* Total number of sworn personnel:
* Total number of female sworn personnel:
* Has the agency had any problems with retaining female employees,
specifically for sworn positions?
If so, what practices have proven successful (IE: targeted
recruitment, operational or procedural changes, benefits such as child
care)?
I greatly appreciate your help with this! As usual, we have been given
a short turn-around on this request. If you can help I would need this
NLT COB Friday, 09-16. Any info you are able to gather by then would be
very helpful. Please feel free to contact me by email or phone with any
questions or concerns.
Stay safe out there.
Amber L. Craig
