SDTMA FW: New POST Course

Training Managers - please forward this course info to the appropriate people.

This is a new POST developed course titled Course/Instructor Evaluator Training.  This course will give participants the training and skills necessary to effectively evaluate training courses and instructors, using the new forms.  The training is very valuable for training managers and staff who wish to properly assess the effectiveness, quality, and safety of their training programs.

The course prerequisites are law enforcement training experience plus successful completion of either AICC, Instructor Development, MIDP/MICC, or other equivalent training.  The deadline to register for the Anaheim course is September 2, and the deadline for the Sacramento course is October 1.  Interested persons should fax the attached form to 916-227-6932 and will be provided additional information and details regarding the locations and travel arrangements. Space is limited so I encourage you to register soon.

In the future, class participants may occasionally be requested to assist POST with future reviews of training and instructor quality in POST-certified courses.  If requested to assist by POST, reviewers would be eligible for travel and per diem reimbursement.  Participation would be voluntary and there is no commitment required in order to attend the course.
